SA woman thought murdered with cord

A young mother found buried under a concrete slab was thought to have been murdered with a grey cord, a court has been told.

Jody Meyers, 20, went missing in August last year with her body found buried on a property at Mannum, east of Adelaide, a month later.

Her partner, Neil Archer, has been charged with her murder and appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

Prosecutor Amy Fisher told the court that the crown was still waiting on a significant amount of material including physical analysis on a grey cord which was believed to be the murder weapon.

She said prosecutors were also waiting on DNA analysis and closed circuit TV material.

Archer previously indicated he would contest the allegations against him and was remanded in custody to appear again on April 26.

His mother Margaret has been charged with assisting an offender in relation to the death of Ms Meyers and also appeared in court on Tuesday.

Ms Fisher said declarations in that case had just been posted to defence counsel and it was the prosecution's intention for the woman to eventually be joined with her son on a single information.

She is being held in custody and will also return to court on April 26.
