A mum has been nabbed drug-driving with her small child, who wasn't wearing a seat belt, in South Australia.

The 32-year-old tested positive for cannabis while her child sat unrestrained in a car seat in Port Lincoln on South Australia's Eyre Peninsula on Thursday, police say.

The woman will appear in the Port Lincoln Magistrates Court at a later date.
