SA mum accused over daughter's crash death

An Adelaide woman accused of causing the death of her four-year-old daughter in a car crash must turn up to court next month or a warrant will be issued for her arrest.

Kylie Anne Hie, 32, of Clearview, who is charged with an aggravated count of causing death by dangerous driving, was due to appear in the Adelaide magistrates court on Tuesday.

But her lawyer said Hie had sent him a message on Tuesday morning saying she was ill.

Hie's daughter Charlotte died last November when the van Hie was driving ran into the back of a truck on the South Eastern Freeway.

Magistrate Bob Harrap said he had intended placing Hie on bail.

He issued a warrant for her arrest but ordered it to lie on the file until September 9, when she is next due to face the court.
