SA man pleads not guilty to son's murder

An Adelaide landscaper will be examined by three psychiatrists after pleading not guilty to murdering his three-year-old son.

David Janzow, 37, appeared in the Supreme Court on Monday where Justice John Sulan ordered the investigations into Janzow's mental health at the time of the alleged killing in July last year.

Janzow's wife rang police on July 8 expressing concerns for his welfare and that of their son.

Soon after Janzow drove up to an unrelated crash scene and told police his boy was injured.

The boy was found in Janzow's car with injuries consistent with being repeatedly stabbed.

Janzow was remanded in custody to appear in the Supreme Court again on July 17.
