SA man faces trial over huge ecstasy haul

A man accused over a major South Australian ecstasy haul has failed to have drug charges against him dropped.

Timothy Abrahamson, 27, and two co-accused are facing drug trafficking charges after detectives seized about 200,000 ecstasy and "N-bomb" pills at a Walker Flat property, east of Adelaide, in February 2014.

Defence counsel David Edwardson, QC, told the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday that DNA found on plastic bags containing illicit pills did not amount to proof of trafficking.

But Magistrate Jayanthi McGrath said the Abrahamson's DNA on the pill bags suggested he might have been involved in the sale of the drugs and ordered him to stand trial.

Abrahamson, and co-accused Amadeo Machiavelli, 32, and Anton Gerardis, 30, will appear in the South Australian District Court on October 6.
