Runaway prisoner arrested, charged in SA

A prisoner has been arrested after escaping the Port Augusta Prison on Christmas night.
Matthew Goodwin fled the low-security jail in South Australia about 8.30pm on Tuesday night.
The 25-year-old handed himself in to the Port Augusta Police Station about 4.50am on Wednesday after an extensive police search.

He was arrested and charged with escaping lawful custody and refused bail.
He will appear in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on Thursday.
