SA man charged over fatal Riverland crash

A 20-year-old man has been charged after the car he was driving rolled on a highway in South Australia's Riverland region, killing one of his passengers.

The driver of the vehicle has been charged with causing death and injury by dangerous driving and aggravated driving without due care.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

The young man and two passengers were travelling along Sturt Highway at Paringa early on Tuesday morning when the car rolled.

A 24-year-old man died at the scene while the driver and the other occupant, 19, were taken to Riverland General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
