The South Australian opposition will push to change state laws which prevent cyclists and motorcyclists from using helmet cameras.

The opposition says the prohibition is out of step with what motorcyclists, scooter riders and cyclists want.

"The State Liberals want to allow the use of cameras mounted to helmets so that when incidents do occur on the road, vision could be used as evidence, and that will encourage compliance with the road rules," opposition road safety spokesman Stephan Knoll said.
