SA holiday shacks burn in $1m fire

A woman is suffering smoke inhalation after a fire destroyed a string of holiday shacks along South Australia's Murray River.

The blaze broke out in the woman's shed and shack at Wongulla, east of Adelaide, before spreading to unoccupied neighbouring shacks early on Monday morning, emergency services say.

The woman was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and taken to hospital as a precaution.

The blaze, which destroyed two shacks and damaged another, caused about $1 million in damage.

It's not known how the fire started.
