SA Greens confirm MP as election candidate

Sitting Greens MP Tammy Franks has been confirmed as the party's lead candidate for the upper house at the next South Australian state election in 2018.

Ms Franks, who was first elected to the Legislative Council in 2010, says she's honoured to have the continuing support of party members.

"With just over 300 days to go until the state election, I look forward to continuing the essential work of the Greens for a cleaner economy, fairer society and more democratic parliament," Ms Franks said in a statement on Thursday.
