SA Greens, artists to protest funding cuts

South Australian artists and Greens MPs are protesting against planned funding cuts to the state's arts sector.

They will protest outside parliament house on Tuesday against what the Arts Industry Council says are government plans to slash $8.5 million from the arts budget each year by 2018/19.

"These cuts will slowly poison our well of cultural richness, taking even more tourism dollars away to fund the funeral," upper house MP Tammy Franks says.
