SA film producers to get set boost

South Australian film producers will soon have access to a dedicated set construction workshop as the state government looks to increase film and TV productions in the state.

The Heysen Hicks Set Construction Workshop, opened on Monday at Adelaide Studios, and will enable the state to further attract productions in an industry that is expected to inject over $26 million into the economy in 2017 says South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill.

"It means we can be increasingly competitive in securing productions from around the world, while enhancing the quality of what is available to our local industry," Mr Weatherill said.
