SA farmers' water allocations boosted

South Australia's unusually wet winter has given farmers reason to celebrate with River Murray water allocations being boosted again.
Irrigators were told they would receive an opening allocation of just 36 per cent for the 2016/17 water year, a figure which was later increased to 52 per cent.
The state government on Friday said strong recent rainfall had allowed allocations to be lifted to 89 per cent for most tenement owners.
