SA driver five times over the legal limit

An Adelaide man has been caught drink driving while more than five times over the legal limit.

The 27-year-old man was driving without his headlights on when he was pulled over on West Terrace in the city and returned a blood alcohol level of 0.254 early on Monday, police say.

He has lost his licence for 12 months, his car has been impounded for 28 days and he will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.
