SA dog helps find syringe thief

A police dog by the name of Roy has helped sniff out an assailant who allegedly robbed a taxi driver armed with a syringe.

Police were called to Jago Street in the Adelaide suburb of Salisbury just before 7am on Easter Sunday after a taxi driver was threatened and had money stolen.

Using the description provided by the victim, a patrol located the suspect, a 25-year-old man, nearby.
