A man and his wife were woken by an alarm just before fire engulfed their home in southern Adelaide.
The couple were roused from sleep after a care alert necklace alarm sounded when power had been cut to their O'Sullivan Beach home.

The man and his wife fled as their home became engulfed in flames, due to what authorities said was an electrical fault in the roof space.
