The Adelaide leg of the Stereosonic music festival has gone smoothly so far, police say.

The second day of the festival kicked off on Saturday at the Adelaide Showground, and police say revellers have mostly been on song, with only eight arrests and 15 evictions the day before.

A 19-year-old Port Lincoln man has been charged with trafficking drugs after police said they found 50 ecstasy pills on him.

He's been bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court.

Police earlier intercepted more than 100 ecstasy tablets bound for the festival.

Three men from Sturt, aged 21, 24 and 25, have been charged and will face court early next year.

Police charged 221 revellers with drug offences at Sydney's Stereosonic event last weekend, just three weeks after teenager Georgina Bartter died of a suspected overdose at the Harbourlife festival.
