SA cold case campaign continues

The unsolved murders of two Adelaide teenage girls more than 30 years ago are being re-examined by South Australian police.

Patricia ('Suzie') Schmidt was last seen alive about 1.45am on December 18, 1971 as she was leaving work at the Burger King Restaurant, on the corner of South Road and Marion Road, Darlington.

The 16-year-old was supposed to be home at 9.30am but her naked body was found off a dirt track at Hallett Cove at 6.30pm.

Another teenage girl, Lina Marciano, disappeared after she left her home about 6.40pm on March 1, 1978 to attend a Greek dancing lesson.

The 19-year-old never got there.

Her body was found in the Roy Amer rubbish dump on Magazine Road at Dry Creek four days later.

SA police are continuing their cold case campaign, in partnership with Crime Stoppers, which focuses on more than 100 cold case murders dating back to the 1960s.
