The South Australian government has partnered with AFL club Port Adelaide to help automotive workers set to lose their jobs with the closure of Australia's car manufacturing industry.

The government will provide $115,000 to help Port Adelaide's community arm, Power Community Ltd, deliver wellbeing and resilience workshops at four automotive supply chain companies.

Premier Jay Weatherill says the workshops will be provided free to those supply company workers who will be impacted by the upcoming closure of both the Holden car plant in Adelaide and Toyota's assembly line in Melbourne.
