SA bushfire threatens Flinders Ranges town

Residents in a rural South Australian town in the Flinders Ranges have been told to leave their homes or take shelter as a serious bushfire approaches.

The stubble fire is burning out of control north of Hawker and heading in a south-easterly direction towards the town, the Country Fire Service says.

The CFS has issued an emergency warning for Hawker, telling people to leave their homes if the path is clear or else take shelter and defend their properties.
