Residents flee burning Adelaide home

Residents have managed to safely flee their burning home in the Adelaide foothills.

The fire, which is considered suspicious, was sparked at an address in Penfold Road, Stonyfell, just before 2am on Monday.

The residents were woken by the fire and quickly evacuated. Neighbours were also evacuated. There are no reports of injuries.

It's believed the fire may have ignited in the carport but the cause is unknown. The home was extensively damaged and two cars parked in the carport were destroyed.
