Reform enables more SA power bill control

South Australians could soon have greater control over their power bills, the Australian Energy Regulator says.

The regulator has approved a revised set of tariffs for electricity distributor SA Power Networks, which will allow retailers to develop offers for SA power customers that let them choose how and when they use electricity.

The AER says such offers would allow customers to take advantage of peak and off-peak network pricing and have greater control over their bills.
