Pursuit driver puts foot down

A driver fleeing police reached speeds of more than 170km/h in Adelaide.

Officers tried to pull over the speeding car in the early hours of Tuesday at Blakeview, but the driver refused and sped onto the Northern Expressway.

Police stopped the pursuit due to safety reasons.
