Plastics fire linked to stolen car

A major fire at the rear of a plastics factory in Adelaide's north may have been sparked by thieves torching a stolen car.

Investigations into the blaze will include possible links between the stolen Suzuki station wagon which was set alight near the factory on Tuesday night, police say.

About 100 fire fighters took several hours to contain the blaze, which caused a large plume of toxic smoke that was visible from as far away as York Peninsula.
