Pilot makes snap landing in SA wheat field

A pilot has made an emergency landing in a wheat field on Eyre Peninsula, damaging the light plane's propellor and wing.

The pilot was flying a single-engine plane towards Port Lincoln airport on Thursday morning when he had engine trouble and was forced to land in the paddock.

The man, who is from the Port Lincoln area, was uninjured.
