Person trapped in lift in Adelaide

A person has been trapped in a lift in the Woolworths store in Adelaide's Rundle Mall after its drive overheated and began to smoulder.

The store has also been evacuated as a precaution as lift mechanics work to free the person.

The Metropolitan Fire Service says it also has crews on the scene.
