'Drink driver' charged over pedestrian death in south Adelaide

A 23-year-old man has been charged with drink driving and dangerous driving causing the death of a pedestrian in south Adelaide.

Emergency crews were called to O'Halloran Hill, just before 4am, after reports a man was hit by a car while walking along Black Road with friends.

The pedestrian, a 21-year-old man from Flagstaff Hill, died at the scene.

The driver, 23, from Aberfoyle Park, was uninjured but taken to Flinders Medical Centre as a precaution.

He has been arrested and charged with aggravated dangerous driving causing death and drink driving after he returned a positive breath test result of 0.191.
