Pact to boost trainee law compliance in SA

A South Australian government department and the Fair Work Ombudsman will collaborate to ensure more workplaces comply with apprentice and trainee laws.
The Department of State Development and the national ombudsman have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, tying the pair to more information sharing and strategy discussions to address the issue.
The ombudsman says a recent audit of more than 800 businesses across Australia had found one in three were failing to pay their apprentices correctly.
