P-plater charged over Adelaide crash

A P-plater has been charged and banned from driving after crashing his car while allegedly more than four times over the legal limit in Adelaide.

The 22-year-old crashed his car into a tree in the front yard of a house in Brighton are around 3.30am on Saturday.

The Seacliffe Park man blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.222, more than four times the legal limit for full license holders. Provisional drivers are not permitted to drive with any alcohol in their system.

He and his passenger were uninjured in the crash.

The driver lost his license and is due to face court on charges of aggravated drink driving at a later date.
