NSW woman in SA murder Court appearance
A NSW woman charged with murder will be held in custody amid allegations she poisoned her partner in his Adelaide home.
Wendie-Sue Dent came before the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday accused of killing 62-year-old David Lawrence in December, 2015.
Dent, from Dapto in Wollongong, made no application for bail and was remanded in custody to return to court in September.
She was arrested in Adelaide on Monday after a long and complex investigation.
In March this year police released details of a toxicology report which found Mr Lawrence had lethal amounts of prescription medication in his system.
At the time police said they believed the medication had been added to his drink and possibly his food.
Detective Superintendent Des Bray said the investigation into Mr Lawrence's murder was centred on people "closest to him", but ruled out his siblings as suspects.
Supt Bray said Mr Lawrence was a healthy man with only minor health conditions
