'No stone unturned' in NCA bombing case

Prosecutors say they are "leaving no stone unturned" in building their case against 1994 National Crime Authority bombing accused Domenic Perre.

Perre, 61, appeared in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday charged with murder over the parcel bomb attack, which killed Detective Sergeant Geoffrey Bowen and injured lawyer Peter Wallis.

Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Sandi McDonald SC told the court prosecutors were compiling a more comprehensive file than usual.

She said documents had been sought from previous investigations, including from the Coroner's Court.

"This is the sort of material that would normally not be provided by the prosecution but, given the history and nature of this case, we are leaving no stone unturned," she said.

Perre was earlier this year charged with the murder of Det Sgt Bowen and attempted murder of Mr Wallis in relation to the attack.

His arrest followed a joint investigation, lasting more than two years, by a number of state and federal authorities including the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission.

It had been one of the state's highest-profile cases, with a reward of $1 million issued in 2008 for information leading to the conviction of the person or people responsible.

Magistrate Brett Dixon remanded Perre in custody and he will next face court in September.
