New milk plant for SA's southeast

A former potato chip factory in South Australia's southeast is to be converted into a dairy processing plant under a $60 million deal.

Premier Jay Weatherill says the redeveloped plant at Penola will produce powdered milk for export and create 50 fulltime jobs.

Construction is due to start in the second quarter of 2015 and should be complete by the middle of next year.
