Disappearance of SA trio handed to coroner
AAP
The case of a South Australian family lost at sea has been handed to the state coroner as a memorial service is held for the trio.
Len and Annette Vandepeer and their adult son Doug set out on their boat from Cape Jaffa in SA's southeast on December 12 and failed to return in the evening.
The extensive air, sea and land search was called off on Monday and on Wednesday their disappearance was referred to the state coroner who will now oversee the case, police say.
