Man, woman remanded over SA pursuits

A man and a woman are in custody charged over separate police pursuits in Adelaide.

A 31-year-old Craigmore woman was charged with failing to stop, unlicensed driving and breach of bail after a short pursuit in Elizabeth about 2am on Sunday.

Police say they were called to a report of suspicious behaviour and the driver refused to stop when signalled.

About 45 minutes later, police say they saw a car with stolen registration plates, and the driver fled when signalled to stop.

Police terminated the chase but say they recognised the driver and later arrested a man.

The 32-year-old Salisbury man was charged with engaging in a police pursuit, driving with unassigned plates, unlawful possession of stolen plates and breach of bail.

Both were remanded to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday.
