Adelaide man charged, to face court over 1998 cold case murder

A man will appear in an Adelaide court charged with the murder of a man who disappeared in 1998.
A 65-year-old Seaton man was arrested yesterday and charged with the murder of Dale McCauley, 44, who was last seen at his Willunga home, south of Adelaide, in January 1998.
He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
Major crime detectives began reviewing the case late last year, searching Mr McCauley's home and a dam on a nearby property on November 25.
Mr McCauley was reported missing by a concerned friend a month after he was last seen.
His truck, passport and Akubra hat - which his friends said he would never leave home without - were found at his home after he went missing.
His disappearance was declared a major crime in May 1998.
Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.
