Man fatally shot by police in Adelaide

A man who hit an Adelaide cop with his van has been shot and killed during a confrontation with police.

The man was shot dead during a confrontation at the Tollgate Motel at Glen Osmond on Saturday night after deliberately driving into the officer who was trying to pull him over at Mitchell Park on Friday.

The van was found dumped at Hallett Cove hours after the incident, which left the male officer with a concussion and a cut on his head.
