Man robs snack bar armed with syringe

Staff at an Adelaide snack bar have been threatened by a man armed with a syringe who then escaped with cash.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with with aggravated robbery after the hold-up at the Blair Athol store on Monday night, police say.

He fled the scene but was kater caught and taken to hospital for a mental health assessment.

He will appear in Holden Hill Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
