Man needs surgery after SA church break-in

A man is having surgery after an alleged break-in at an Adelaide church went wrong.

Screams for help from a Park Holme church early on Tuesday led officers to a man who had seriously cut his leg on glass as he tried to break in, police say.

The 29-year-old from Marion is undergoing surgery at the Flinders Medical Centre but police plan to speak with him about the break-in over the coming days.
