Man in court on murder charge

A man charged with murder over a fatal stabbing in Adelaide in April will be required to answer the charge in September.

Jeffrey David Szanto, 42, appeared in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday charged with the murder of a 27-year-old man at Ridleyton.

Szanto was arrested after a 48-hour man hunt and is being held in custody.

Some declarations have been provided to the defence with more to come by August 24, before Szanto answers the charge on September 4.
