Man helps neighbour escape SA unit fire

A neighbour has helped a woman escape her burning unit in Adelaide.

The blaze began in the woman's bedroom in Pennington, in Adelaide's northern suburbs, early on Thursday morning, fire crews say.

A man alerted firefighters and helped the woman, who has been hospitalised with minor smoke inhalation and a cut.

The cause of the blaze, which is not considered suspicious, remains unclear.
