Man extradited to SA from NSW over rape

A man has been extradited to South Australia from NSW charged with the rape of a woman in an Adelaide park three years ago.

Forensic evidence last month identified the northern NSW man as a suspect for the attack in December 2013 when the woman was grabbed from behind and assaulted while walking in Victoria Park, police say.

The 43-year-old will face the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with rape and assault with intent to rape.
