SA man smashes into and destroys speed camera

A driver has crashed into a speed camera near Adelaide.

The impact destroyed the camera but the male driver appeared to escape serious injury and was picked by a passing motorist after the collision on the South Eastern Freeway, early on Monday.

Police are looking for the driver and say the images from the crash scene show the engine was thrown from the car.
