An elderly woman has died after crashing her car into three parked vehicles and a tree in Murray Bridge, east of Adelaide.

The 87-year-old died at Royal Adelaide Hospital after colliding with the unoccupied cars on Swanport Road on Tuesday afternoon.

Separately, a man died after the car he was driving collided with a semi-trailer in Bordertown, southeast of Adelaide.

The 38-year-old was the only occupant in the car with the Tuesday night crash closing the Dukes Highway until about 6am on Wednesday.

The two deaths take South Australia's road toll to 41 compared to 42 at the same time last year, police say.
