Man dies in SA collision between car, bus

A head-on collision between a car and a bus in Adelaide's northern suburbs has left a man dead.

The crash happened in Wynn Vale about 6.30pm.

There were no passengers on the bus and the driver of the car was its sole occupant.

He died at the scene. The bus driver suffered minor injuries.

Major collisions police are investigating.

The death takes SA's road toll to 46, four more than at the same time last year.

Meanwhile, a pedestrian has been struck by a car and badly injured on the Lincoln Highway at Boston, near Port Lincoln.

The accident happened about 8pm, forcing the highway's closure.
