Elderly man dies in Adelaide house fire

An elderly man has died in a house fire in the southern Adelaide suburb of Morphett Vale.

Fire crews were called to the home on Grazing Avenue, Morphett Vale, around 3am.

The house fully was fully engulfed in flames and took firefighters 20 minutes to control, a South Australian Fire Services spokesman said.

The 75-year-old man was found inside the home and pronounced dead, the spokesman said.

Another man who escaped the building was taken to hospital with minor burns and smoke inhalation.

The cause of the blaze has not been confirmed but there are no suspicious circumstances, police said.
