Man in court charged with outback murder

A man charged with the murder of a woman in South Australia's north has been remanded in custody after a court appearance.

Danny Ferguson was arrested on Tuesday, four days after the death of a woman at Oodnadatta.

The woman, 34, was taken to a clinic in the town on Friday. She was already unresponsive and died a short time later.

Ferguson appeared in the Port Augusta Magistrates Court on Wednesday charged with murder and with interfering with a motor vehicle.

The 35-year-old was remanded in custody to appear again on September 14.
