Man charged over body in Adelaide street

A 30-year-old man found unconscious alongside the body of a 60-year-old man in Adelaide has been charged with murder.

The pair were found on Le Hunte Street at suburban Kilburn early on Monday with police saying drugs may have played a role in what transpired.

The injured man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, where a bedside court hearing on Tuesday remanded him in custody to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on January 31 next year.

On Monday, police said the two men were thought to be friend and officers were following up leads suggesting drugs were involved.

A vehicle was also removed from the investigation site that might have been used to transport one of the men to the area.

Anyone who heard arguing or fighting in the area in the early hours of the morning were asked to contact detectives.
