Man charged over Adelaide house fire

An Adelaide man who was pulled from his burning house by a police officer has been charged with arson.

The 42-year-old man was charged after the fire caused extensive damage to his Taperoo house.

When emergency services arrived at the burning house on Sunday night, the man was still inside.

The police officer who got him out was not hurt.

The charged man suffered minor injuries and remains in hospital.

He will appear in court at a later date.
