Man charged after drunken chase

A man has led police on a drunken car chase in Adelaide after a disturbance at his northern suburbs home.

The 40-year-old fled his Hillbank home on Monday night, driving on the wrong side of the road and almost colliding with a taxi, police say.

After being stopped at barricades he was was charged with offences including drink-driving, driving without a licence and refusing a blood alcohol test.

He will appear in Adelaide Magistrates court on Tuesday.
