LPG tanker derails in SA

An LPG tanker rail car has run off the tracks north of Adelaide, but emergency crews say no gas has escaped.
The tanker derailed near the Lincoln Highway at Whyalla Barson on Wednesday evening after hitting cleaning equipment.
The tanker car contained 63,000 litres of LPG.

Fire Service spokesman Bruce Noble says crews drained the deluge cleaning plant before using gas detection equipment to check for flammable vapours.
The scene has since been declared as safe.
Damage to the deluge cleaning equipment is estimated at $80,000.
